Trapped Nerves Pain

Trapped nerves or (“pinched nerves”) occur when pressure is applied to a nerve by a structure or tissue including bone, discs, muscles or even swelling.

Symptoms can Include:

  • Sharp, shooting, aching or burning pain
  • Numbness or decreased sensation
  • Tingling or “pins and needles” sensations
  • Muscle weakness

Bulging discs, disc herniation, piriformis syndrome or sciatica.

Chiropractors specialise in assessing, diagnosing and managing conditions of the spine. They are highly trained in finding and treating the causes of pain relating to trapped nerves.

To Investigate the Cause of a Client's Nerve Pain we Provide:

  • A Private Consultation with one of our experienced Chiropractors
  • A Thorough Physical Examination including Neurological and Orthopaedic tests as well as posture and flexibility tests
  • A Verbal Report of our Findings and thorough Explanation of any X-Rays/ MRI Scans
  • Referral for MRI if clinically necessary

How our experts can help:

Depending on the findings of your history and physical examination and any other relevant information, your Chiropractor will recommend an individualised plan of management. The treatment options may include:

  • Gentle mobilisation or specific spinal manipulation where appropriate
  • Rehabilitation and exercises
  • Soft tissue therapy
  • Ergonomic and lifestyle changes
  • Patient education and reassurance
  • Referral for MRI or to a specialist if needed.
